Wonder by R. J. Palacio

“Wonder” is wonderful. It’s about 10-year-old August Pullman who has a horrible facial deformity and his first year at public school after being home-schooled. But ultimately the book is about self-worth, love, and relationships. I was particularly struck by the perfect pitch of the story’s narrators.
