I Wish Someone Were Waiting for Me Somewhere by Anna Gavalda

These stories are short, snappy, and completely engaging. The thing that struck me the most about them is the many different shifts in tone. One story is told by a female, rural veterinarian; and another by a male, army cadet. A pregnant woman tells her tale, as does a guy who has the chance to meet up with his long-lost love. Every one of them is convincing. My only complaint is now I’ve read all Gavalda has published. I want more.
